Whether you have an existing website or are starting from scratch, my background in business and project management uniquely qualifies me to help you plan your project.

Together we can develop a website strategy that takes into account your organization’s unique characteristics and operations and tailor it to fit into your overall strategic plan.

I am primarily a developer, not a graphic designer. My website designs often reflect this, in that I do not use a lot of intense images and animations. I focus on simple, clean, intuitive design. I try to tailor my websites to fit the unique culture of each organization.

I use responsive design to ensure that your website’s visitors have a positive experience whether they visit from a computer, tablet, smartphone, or even a television!

I develop primarily for the WordPress platform, however I do have experience working with Joomla and Drupal. I can also hand-code HTML5 and CSS3, if you prefer a static website.

I have some experience with JavaScript, PHP and SQL, for developing web applications, though I’m still building these skills and I stick primarily to theme development and simple web applications.

If you don’t know what any of this means, you don’t need to worry! Most people probably do not. All you need to know is that I can build a website that you can easily update (if you want to) without knowing any code.

The beauty of a CMS (Content Management System), is that they enable non-technical users to update many aspects of their websites as easily as sending an email or writing a social media post. I have found, however, that many organizations still don’t have the time or want the hassle of keeping their website up-to-date.

In response to this preference, I offer maintenance services. Organizations will simply contract me to be “on-call” for them. So if you want to make a change to your website, simply email or call and tell me what you want, and I’ll make the changes. I offer this even if I am not the one that developed the website!

I occasionally come across organizations who are in the midst of a project and have to make decisions but don’t have the expertise to make informed choices. “Which CMS is the best fit for me?” “Is this developer’s quote too high for what I need?” “Do I need a Windows or Linux host?”

You might be hiring a developer and need help evaluating proposals, setting up a website yourself and run into a problem, or any number of other situations where you need some assistance. I can help you bridge the technology gap and make informed choices for your organization.

Other Services

While I am primarily a web developer, I do have other skills and talents, and I love to stretch my legs and do different things from time to time. Some examples of other work that I’ve done include:

  • Building custom computers
  • Networking
  • Domain administration
  • Virus removal and PC tune-up
  • Hard drive erasure and PC recycling
  • General IT Support

If you have other needs, even if they aren’t specifically web related, feel free to contact me. I’m not ashamed to tell you up-front that I’m not qualified to do a job, and even if I can’t, I can often point you in the right direction. I never charge for consultations!
